Sometimes it’s the little things that make life a whole lot easier - whether it’s a ton of cupholders in your truck or that all-in-one shampoo/conditioner/body wash you just found on Amazon. But for cable & fiber installers, one of those little things is the joystick controller.

Standard bucket trucks typically come with a control box in the bucket that require two hands to maneuver (see picture above). They’re fine…just inconvenient when you’re stringing cable.

Old-style joystick controllers, however, allow the operator to adjust their location with one hand - leaving the other hand free to string cable or hold tools, making the process way more efficient.

This ease of control is important when operating high access equipment and hydraulic lifts. That’s why every one of our Cable Placer Upfits is outfitted with a brand NEW RGE Joystick. In addition, our joysticks are “old-style”, making them even more familiar and intuitive to operate.
